You will be committed to achieving exceptional standards of service, staff management and be able to continually challenge and make improvements. This role is responsible for both the day and nightshift Despatch operations and therefore some flexibility with working hours is required.
Role:
Ensure timely and accurate loading of vehicles, to enable delivery by transport
team
Manage all inputs into dispatch operation from both internal and external customers
Utilise proactive & innovative solutions to ensure costs are within budget
Control all reverse logistics to meet out-bound schedules, in accurate and timely manner
Effective management of day-bays/marshalling lanes, ensuring all products are accurately recorded and despatched
Manage and develop staff to ensure effective team working across shifts
Experience/Requirements:
Minimum 2-3 years Despatch management experience
Experience of budgetary control and KPI management
Must be self-motivated and be able to use own initiative
Must be self-resilient
Excellent organisational & communication skills
Excellent geographical knowledge throughout UK mainland and Ireland.
