An opportunity has arisen for a Transport Co-ordinator to join our client, a
leading and international provider to the food sector.
For this role, our client is looking for a flexible and adaptable transport
planning professional with a 'can-do' approach and routing and scheduling
experience. Holder of a LGV licence is preferable but not an absolute
requirement.
As a Transport Co-ordinator, you will be responsible for managing a number
vehicles within the fleet.
You will be tasked with planning routes for each vehicle within your control to
maximise revenue and benefit the company. You will also ensure customer service
levels are achieved.
To be considered for this position, you must have:
- Experience in a similar transport planning role, which included routing and
scheduling
- A full understanding of transport legislation
- a LGV licence is desirable
As a Transport Co-ordinator, you must have excellent problem solving, communication
and organisational skills. The ability to make decisions under pressure and to
a tight timescale is also key.
