An opportunity has arisen for a Senior/Supervisor Transport Co-ordinator to
join our client, a leading and international provider to the food sector. The
position will involve the day-to-day management of the traffic office and
staff.
For this role, our client is looking for a flexible and adaptable transport
professional with a 'can-do' approach and routing and scheduling experience.
The ideal candidate will be CPC Accredited and able to hold the ‘O' Licence.
Holder of a LGV Licence is preferable but not an absolute requirement.
As the Senior Co-ordinator, you will be responsible for managing the planning,
staff and a number vehicles within the fleet.
You will be tasked with managing and assisting in planning routes for each vehicle
within your control to maximise revenue and benefit the company. You will also
ensure customer service levels are achieved.
To be considered for this position, you must have:
- CPC
-Experience in a similar management/supervisory transport role, which
included planning, routing and scheduling
- A full understanding of transport legislation
- a LGV licence is desirable
As the Senior/Supervisor Transport Co-ordinator, you must have excellent
problem solving, communication and organisational skills. The ability to make
decisions under pressure and to a tight timescale is also key.
