Our drivers transport and deliver goods between suppliers and customers on behalf of a broad client base. Delivering to depots, distribution centres, warehouses, astores, shops and customer's homes accross the UK. As well as driving, you may be required to plan delivery schedules and routes with transport staff, supervise or take part in loading/unloading the vehicle, make sure your load is safe and secure, take scheduled rest breaks according to /RTDWTD and Tachograph law and complete delivery paperwork.
Skills & Experience
Logistics Solutions value its driving team; we work with the best and expect the best, therefore successful applicants must have the following skills and attributes:
Competent in English and Maths both written and verbal (be able to achieve a minimum of 75% in testing).
Hold a valid HGV License with less than 6 points.
Hold a Digital Tachograph Smart Card or be prepared to apply for one.
Be prepared to attend assessment slots.
To enjoy driving and have an excellent driving history.
Have the ability to work alone whilst concentrating for long periods of time.
Have good eyesight and good colour vision.
Possess a polite and courteous manner at all times.
Have a good understanding of safety, both on the road and when loading/unloading.
Have RTD/WTD & Tacho knowledge or be prepared to attend internal training sessions.
The ability to understand and complete paperwork accurately.
Be of a reasonable level of fitness to work with loads.
No more than 6 points on your licence.
A minimum of two years HGV LGV Driving experience.
Have no DR10's on your license during the past 10 years.
Be able to provide contactable references for a minimum of two years.
